Monday Round Up

Here’s a few of the things I read this morning. Feel free to post a comment below with your thoughts or shoot me an email at katie@katiefavazza[nospam].com (remove [nospam] when you send a message).

  • This WaPo Endorsement of Barack Obama Has Been Brought To You By Barack Obama: In their own words, “Maybe time to take ads off washingtonpost.com’s online editorials?”
  • China Loosens Press Restrictions: Good news for those who love freedom.
  • Heal Main Street: I can’t stand CodePink; their whole approach and philosophy offends me. I am, however, more in favor of individuals helping people than the government helping people. So, though I never thought I’d say it, kudos. (The logical counterpoint is, “Where are they going to be for every other homeowner?” I agree 100 percent. Again, I just like people helping people, and not waiting for the government to give them a hand out. Of note here, of course, is that CodePink thinks the government should be doing what they’re doing, and bailing out homeowners. I don’t support that idea.)
  • Palin draws big ratings for ‘Saturday Night Live’: Take that, elite, liberal media!
  • Babycinos, a Drink for Babies: I know it’s excessive, but it’s pretty cute. I was just happy to see my favorite coffee shop plugged on my favorite food blog.
  • Cor Jesu kids serve others on Saturdays: My high school is making headlines for helping out around St. Louis. Well done, girls.

I really like your analysis of Code Pink! They deserve credit for doing what they can to help single mothers in a crunch. That’s honorable. I still wonder what they have against the rescue package though. The best explination I found about the crisis was from the New York Times:

Lesson From a Crisis: When Trust Vanishes, Worry

They really think that firing the Treasury Secretary will work? The plan was supported by Democrats as well. I have a feeling they would be unhappy no matter who was in charge.
