Congratulations to Bristol Palin!

Bristol Palin gave birth to her son Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston on Sunday. The infant boy weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces. Thanks to Gateway Pundit for posting the happy news.

Bristol is doing well, but–as much as I hate to say it–Grandma Johnston can’t say the same thing:

Just mentioning: This week, Levi mother, Sherry Johnston, was charged with six felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance, described by an Alaska State Troopers spokeswoman as being “Oxycontin.”

My prayers are with the Palin and Johnston families, both for the continued health of mom and the new baby and for a change of heart for Tripp’s paternal grandma.
