Talking Smart Girl Politics and Tea Parties with ABC News
Posted by Catherine Favazza - 04/15/09 at 01:04 pmToday, I had the pleasure of meeting ABC News’ political director David Chalian and senior political reporter Rick Klein, as they invited me to represent Smart Girl Politics on their web show, Top Line, and discuss the nationwide tea party movement. Take a look and let me know what you think:
(Update: You can also read Rick Klein’s write up of today’s show over at The Note.)
On a personal note, it was my first time on a TV program of any kind and I was really nervous. Rain and traffic delays cut my prep and makeup time a little short, but all in all, I enjoyed myself and I’m so grateful to have met the leaders of ABC’s smart political team.
If you have already attended or are planning to attend a tea party today, please post a comment or send me a message via Twitter to share your experience.

I was surprised to see other groups (namely anti-Gitmo and anti-war, but also a pro-Israel protester) gather nearer to the White House than the larger group in the Park! It was great to get out of the office and see everything going on first hand, as well as to speak to some of the protesters with every different kind of reason one could imagine for being there. I look forward to watching your interview!
