What Should NASCAR Stand For?
Posted by Catherine Favazza - 06/16/09 at 10:06 pmTonight I attended sports trivia night at the Pour House bar on Capitol Hill. I went under the assumption that it was general trivia and, in the end, didn’t know any of the answers. Fortunately, I did earn my team a few extra points (hint: bring your female friends to get an early lead) and we ended up in second place at the end of the night, walking away with a gift certificate for a $20 bar tab on our next visit.
We also earned a $20 tab to nearby bar 18th Amendment for winning the first bonus round. After correctly answering what NASCAR means, we came up with the most creative response to this bonus question: What should NASCAR stand for?
I don’t want to publish our answer because it wasn’t the most polite thing my friends and I have ever said. Instead, I’m interested in knowing what you would have said. Post a comment or send me your replies on Twitter. The funniest answers will be published later this week. Try to keep them mostly clean, folks.
For those keeping score, my friends and I walked away with $40-worth of forthcoming drinks. We had a great time and I definitely recommend the Pour House sports trivia night to anyone; I do advise, however, bringing some guys (or girls for that matter) who know their stuff.
