But when health insurance coverage is under the government’s purview, that means that laws and regulations now govern your health care decisions, not a contract between you and another private entity. Have you ever gone up against a government bureaucrat when you don’t have the law on your side? Clue: You won’t win. Oh, unless you make it a court case. Literally.

At least with my insurance company, I have appeal provisions that can sometimes — sometimes — result in the company saying, OK, on this one, we’re gonna give in. We’re gonna pay for this instance.

You simply can’t do that when you’re dealing with a law or regulation. The process always has to go to court; that’s how it works.

The difference between private sector and government-run, is that if you don’t like the way your private sector insurance company is treating you, you get other insurance. If you don’t like the way the government runs it, you’re screwed, because ultimately everyone will be either on the government plan or on a plan forced to comply with government requirements. You’ll have one choice, which by definition is not a choice.

Now, to be clear..>NOBODY is saying reform of some kind isn’t needed. But you’re worried about insurance companies destroying families…yet the CBO says Obama’s plan will not reduce costs and most likely will cause costs to rise. Why does the left discard that? Where is tort reform being addressed? They did it in Texas and costs are going DOWN…yet, instead of modeling after them, we model after Massachusetts and Tennessee, which are bankrupt. In Mass, they’re even looking at cutting 30,000 LEGAL immigrants off the program because they can’t afford it. Good model.

Medicare is broken and near broke. Same with Social Security. Many vets would complain about the military insurance…none of those measure up to what Congress receives. Yet, even if they did, at least FDR and Johnson realized that in order for a system like Medicare or SS to work, EVERYBODY needed to contribute. Somehow this program is just going to magically work? No, we’ll all be paying through our noses for it..and don’t give me the tax the rich line, because you could take every dime the rich in this country have and it wouldn’t pay for a fraction of the projected cost of this program.

And obviously, you have no concept about the financial meltdown. There is a LOT of blame to go around…go do a quick search on factcheck.org and it will explain how the blame lies in the Bush Admin, the Clinton Admin, the financial institutions, the people who took the risks, etc. Trying to pin it on Bush is dishonest.

As for the “mobs”, people are angry. They should be letting people speak, but when you’re presented with the same bullshit talking points that are outright lies it gets frustrating. You see clips. That’s all…and the only violence I’m aware of…please tell me if I’m wrong…is when an SEIU member BUSED IN BY DEMOCRATS, beat up a protestor.

You can try to delegitimize real concerns all you want by trying to ridicule them (”teabaggers”, “birthers”, “lynch mobs”) but the fact is Pelosi and her cronies shut Republicans out of the creation of this bill…because they have an agenda. This is the same Pelosi who shut the lights, mics and cameras off last summer when the Republican Congressmen and Women were taking the time they have a RIGHT to to discuss drilling. Doesn’t matter if you or Pelosi like it, they have the right to that time to speak about anything. So she’s using her bully tactics here and then going on the road to call people who dissent un-American, Nazis, etc. Your arguments are superficial and pretty much incorrect.

Show me a healthcare plan Congress is willing to take alongside us and I’ll consider its merit.

How does shouting down to stop the conversation of the healthcare debate at town hall meetings, endears them to anyone. Especially when the organizations that are telling them where to go and what to do and say are Republicans political operatives, not real grassroots. How does shouting someone down or chasing them out like a lynch mob advanced the debate, it does not. So I think the American people will see through all of this and know, like the teabagger, the birthers, these lynch mobs types are just the same, people who have to resort to these tactics because they have no leadership to articulate what they real want. It’s easy to pickup a bus load of people who hate, and that’s all I been seeing, they hate and can’t debate. Too bad.
