I’m kind of obsessed with the idea of Tom DeLay being on “Dancing with the Stars.” I’ve never been a fan of the show, but am looking forward to watching this season now. It’s hard to tell: Am I interested because Tom DeLay might secretly be the best dancer ever? Or because it’s like staring at a car wreck on the side of the road? Either way, I’m in. Sign me up.

I’m also fascinated by this from a strategy perspective. Who’s idea was it to ask him to participate? Or did he have a manager or agent of sorts who reached out to the show’s producers? Who did he consult about this decision from a political and strategic perspective? Man, what I’d give to have been a fly on the wall for that meeting.
