Resources

Below is a compilation of blogs and websites that I read frequently and recommend to my readers. They are organized in categories for your convenience–and my own. I have also included a blurb with each so you know what you can expect to find. Note that many of these blogs could fit into any number of categories.

I’m always looking for new blogs to add to my radar! If you are interested in being added to my reading list, please fill out the contact form below and include the category that you believe your blog fits in the best.

  • Vodkapundit – @Vodkapundit and I met in a tequila bar in Las Vegas and he adores my dad’s restaurant. Need I say more?
  • Pink Elephant Pundit – @PinkElephantPun is one of my partners in crime over at Smart Girl Politics.

Favorite Local Blogs

  • RightMichigan.com – Nick’s Michigan blog is grassroots-focused and includes original reporting.
  • SaveJersey.com – My friend from college–Matt Rooney–founded this activism-oriented blog to save Jeresy from becoming too blue.
  • Daily Daley – A great Chicago blog run by @AnnaTarkov, a conservative activist and immigrant from USSR. (Pretty cool, right?)
  • Lakeshore Laments – If you have a question about Wisconsin politics, @KevinBinversie is your man.

Conservative Blogs That Cover International Affairs

  • Fausta’s Blog – A Puerto Rico native, @Fausta specializes in American and Latin American politics and news.
  • Gateway Pundit – For a Midwesterner, Jim sure has an incredible eye for news from the Middle East. (Read why I think GP is the best blog I’ve ever read. Oh, and he covers the St. Louis, too.)

Favorite Catholic Blogs

Blogs By People I Wish Were Catholic

  • The American Mind – This is the personal blog of @SeanHackbarth, who works for the Senate Republican Conference.
  • JohnCombest.com – The only Missouri political site that matters, put together daily by a good friend, @JohnCombest.

Conservative Resources

  • The Foundry – Read it. Seriously. If nothing else, its daily post “The Morning Bell” is essential reading. (Sign up to receive it via email on the right sidebar of the blog.)
  • American Issues Project – I serve as the editor of the dynamic group blog for this nonprofit organization, which emphasizes fiscal responsibility, but is concerned with all issues of interest to conservatives.
  • Smart Girl Politics – Join this grassroots-oriented conservative women’s network. (I’m the Director of Strategic Partnerships on the Board of Directors.)
  • Americans for Tax Reform – My friend and fellow CUA alum @AdamRadman is among the folks doing the Lord’s work at ATR. (Well, not exactly, but you know what I mean…)
  • Repurblican.com – Fellow Missourian Patrick Ishmael founded this network for urban Republicans.

National Conservative Blogs

  • MichelleMalkin.com – If you like Michelle’s syndicated columns, you should be reading her blog, too. It’s the best coverage of national grassroots conservative action.
  • Hot Air – This site is so good, it’s my browser homepage. A project of Michelle Malkin’s, go here for great headlines and blog posts about politics and culture by two of the best in the business, Allahpundit and @EdMorrissey.
  • Right Wing News – John Hawkins has built up an incredibly strong and always engaging national conservative blog. He invites really talented people to contribute to his blog and I’m humbled to have been included among his guest-bloggers.
  • Politics @ Up North Mommy – Kim Priestap is a talented writer and a sharp woman. Check out her main blog for adorable family stories, too.
  • Principally Political – Brian Johnson tackles national issues (and sometimes MO issues!) with refreshing common sense. (And, as the saying goes, common sense is not so common.)
  • Alarming News – Karol is…amazing.
  • Obi’s Sister -
  • Suitably Flip – This is a great economics and finance blog–and you’ll love Flip’s (often funny) perspective.
  • Thoughts Enroute – Another smart, conservative woman with “a passion for communicating, educating and entertaining.”
  • Caffeinated Thoughts – @ShaneVanderHart and I connected first through Twitter. He, alongside contributors @EricAlan and @ColleenSharp, has been kind enough to include links to my blog posts in his Latte Links from time to time.

Just for Fun!

  • Unterekless Thoughts
