Bristol Palin gave birth to her son Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston on Sunday. The infant boy weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces. Thanks to Gateway Pundit for posting the happy news. Bristol is doing well, but–as much as I hate to say it–Grandma Johnston can’t say the same thing: “This week, Levi mother, Sherry Johnston, was charged with six felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance, described by an Alaska State Troopers spokeswoman as being ‘Oxycontin.’”

The energy during McCain’s entrance was terrific.
Happy birthday, John McCain. Great move to announce today and de-emphasize his age and steal Obama’s thunder.
He wanted a VP to help him “shake up Washington.”

The VP candidates–Gov. Sarah Palin and Sen. Joe Biden–will debate each other in my hometown, St. Louis, on October 2. I cannot wait.
